Job Description:

Brand New Nursery – Opened June 2024
Located in Loseley Fields, Godalming, in a purpose built building, we give a home from home experience for children in our care. We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team.

Operating Hours:

38 hours per week between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday all year round.

Requirements of the role of Nursery Practitioner:

A minimum of a level 3 NVQ qualification within childcare
Sound understanding of the EYFS as well as the understanding of child development and of children’s needs.
Always willing to pop on your coat and accessories to get outdoors and have fun while the children learn.
Confident in completing observations and carrying out planning for your key children
Work as part of a team – contributing to the success of the nursery
Position dependent on clear DBS check along with 2 satisfactory references.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,700.00-£27,664.00 per year

Expected Hours: 28.5 – 38 per week

Requirements of the role of Supply Practitioner:

Reflect the vision, mission, aims and values of the nursery.
Support individual children with additional needs in accordance with targets identified during settling in sessions and meetings with parents.
Work with the Manager and other Child Care staff to establish a caring and happy environment for the children and ensure quality is maintained.
Contribute to the planning and preparation of a varied daily programme of activities for children, adapting and enhancing them to meet children’s individual needs and incorporate interests.
Work with the Child Care staff team to implement Rainbow Corner Loseley Fields’s Policies and Procedures.
Attend team meetings and parent meetings as required.
Assist the Manager in providing training opportunities for College and university students.
Supervise nursery staff and children as appropriate ensuring a high quality environment to meet the needs of individuals from differing cultures and religious backgrounds.
Liase with nursery Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and independently communicate with external organisations accordingly and as required.
Complete apprenticeship while working full time within the setting.
Position dependent on clear DBS check along with 2 satisfactory references.

Job Types: 0 hour contract

Pay: Dependant on hours

Expected Hours: 0 – 38 per week

Nursery Apprentice

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships provide the opportunity to earn money, gain job-specific skills and gain an industry recognised qualification. You will work alongside experienced members of staff and be supported by your assessor for the duration of your apprenticeship. While working as an apprentice you are entitled to the National Minimum Wage for apprentices. Apprentices aged 19 and over, and not in their first year of their apprenticeship are entitled to the National Minimum Wage for their age group.
