Training That Works for You
We provide all colleagues with the opportunity to progress their careers with us through bespoke internal and external training courses. Here is a little of what that looks like in practice:
- Apprenticeships: If you are new to early years, our apprenticeship programme is a brilliant place to start. You will earn a wage while gaining a nationally recognised qualification, working alongside our experienced practitioners every day. We partner with Showcase Training to ensure every apprentice receives the very best learning experience and support throughout.
- NoodleNow Online Training: All of our team have access to NoodleNow, a platform packed with high-quality, CPD-accredited courses built specifically for the early years sector. With unlimited access day and night, you can track your progress, manage your own learning, and build up a portfolio of accredited certificates entirely at your own pace.
- In-House and Specialist Training: Learning never really stops here. We run regular in-house training sessions and give our team access to specialist courses covering everything from safeguarding and paediatric first aid to the very latest thinking in early years practice. You will always feel confident, well-prepared and up to date.
- Learning From One Another: Some of the richest learning happens day to day, side by side. Our more experienced practitioners love to share their knowledge, and our newer team members bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm. It is a team effort, and everyone benefits from it.
Clear Progression Pathways

We love growing our own leaders. Any member of staff who shows an interest in progressing is actively supported to do so, with the relevant training and mentoring in place to help them get there. A typical journey looks like this:
1. Nursery Apprentice / Level 2 Practitioner
Building your foundations, gaining your qualification and getting to know the children and families in your care.
2. Level 3 Practitioner
Deepening your knowledge and taking on greater responsibility for your key children and their development.
3. Room Leader
Leading your room, mentoring colleagues and shaping the daily experience for your group.
4. Senior or Deputy Role
Supporting the wider team and playing a key part in how the nursery operates.
5. Nursery Management
Leading the whole setting, guiding the team and championing the children, families and staff in your care.
We will sit down with you, listen to your goals and work with you to put a plan in place. There are no vague promises here, just real support and a clear path forward.

Do I need prior experience or qualifications to apply?
Not necessarily! While we always welcome qualified Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners from across Godalming and Surrey, we also look for potential. If you have a warm, caring nature and a genuine love for working with children, our apprenticeship programme with Showcase Training is the perfect way to learn on the job.
Where exactly is the setting located?
You can find us on Green Lane in Godalming, right next to Loseley Fields Primary School. We have plenty of free staff parking on-site, making us an easy commute from Guildford and the surrounding Surrey areas.
How does the training fit into my working week?
We don’t expect you to burn the midnight oil. Your training is structured to fit around your role, and platforms like NoodleNow allow you to learn at a pace that suits you. For apprentices, dedicated study time is built into your paid working hours.
What support is available if I want to step up into management?
We actively review individual career goals during our regular catch-ups. If you want to progress, we will pair you with a mentor, fund relevant higher-level qualifications, and provide hands-on leadership experience in a supportive environment.
